Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - A Wild Rose Thank You

Hi Crafty Friends! I'm so glad you're here! Whether you follow me, or you're hopping along with us today - Welcome!

Today's post is part of a Blog Hop for members of Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program. I hope you enjoy my project and will hop along with everyone listed below!

For this project, I chose to work with Stampin' Up!'s To A Wild Rose bundle. This flower is so gorgeous in any color combination. My card had a specific purpose, though. This one was for someone special and when I sat down to create I had her in mind. Do you ever find someone in your life that just inspires you and 'gets' you? I have and I am so, so grateful. When I signed up (for my 3rd time) to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator 3 1/2 years ago, I wanted the discount like most do. After a few months, I migrated toward hosting small classes, being urged on by friends. Then my family moved to a new area and I was able to be closer to and connect with a fellow Luv 2 Stamper, and upline, Patty Bennett. I am 2 levels below Patty but we became fast crafty friends. She took me under her wing and has supported me and cheered me on and pushed me in the direction of my dreams over the last 2 years. I cannot say enough good things about her, her generosity and her support.

I'll save you the rest of the details because this post could turn into a novel and that's not why I'm here. I'm here to share this awesome card with you. Do you ever create something and just LOVE it immediately? This card mirrors what I envisioned in my head and just SCREAMS "Patty"!

Well, (drum roll).... Here it is! This is a Thank You card that I created for Patty to go with a fun gift to thank her for the amazing year that I've had in my Stampin' Up! business and for her part in it. Her favorite Stampin' Up! color is Poppy Parade and the gift I gave had gorgeous poppies on it so I wanted to make her a matching card.

My card base is Basic Gray with a Basic Black mat cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and then a piece of the Poppy Parade Gingham from the Brights 6x6 DSP Stack cut to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".

I stamped the gorgeous Wild Rose layers (this is a 3 step stamp) on Whisper White card stock in various shades of Poppy Parade and the outline in Memento Black. The bottom layer of the flower is stamped off on scratch paper first to get a lighter tonal look. I wanted the flower to really pop!

I stamped the leaves Whisper White in various tones of Smoky Slate to achieve a similar affect and to stick with the theme. The travel set adorned with poppies that I gifted her is black and red.

I stamped my sentiment on Smoky Slate card stock and used the beautiful stitched label included in the Wild Rose dies to cut it out. I also used the cute sprig die and cut out two from Silver Foil for a touch of shine.

After layering all of my pieces, I added some extra dimension with the Monster Bash enamel shapes. I used the Basic Black dots in the center of the flowers to get that 'fuzzy' look that the centers of poppies have. I also used the Basic Gray dots around the rest of the card to pull it all together.

The final touch was making my coordinating envelope. I used another piece of the Poppy Parade Gingham and covered the flap of my envelope. That piece was cut to 2 1/4" x 6"

Patty absolutely loved her card and gift and I was so happy! She really has been an amazing role model to me and even better, she's turned into a priceless friend.

Thank you for visiting today! I hope you enjoyed my card. If you don't already have the To A Wild Rose bundle and have been inspired to pick it up, the links to all of the products I used are listed below. Purchasing the stamps and coordinating dies as a bundle offers an additional 10% off the bundle price!

Happy hopping & happy crafting,

Most Wonderful Time

Hi Crafty Friends!!

The gals today had so much fun at my Most Wonderful Time Product Medley class today - I thought I'd pop in and share the projects that everyone made!

This suite of products comes as a medley, which is all packaged together.. Dies, Stamps, (gorgeous) Gold Foil Designer Series Papers, Tinsel, Gold Foil Card Fronts, Sticker Sheets and Gold Faceted Stars! So many fun items!

Today, everyone made 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs) in Real Red and Old Olive options. I just love the papers in this Product Medley - they really steal the show!

Cards are like kids, right? You're not supposed to have a favorite?!?! Well, this one (above) is my favorite. I love, love, love the sentiment 'Merry & Bright' - every year I am drawn to anything that includes this. My friend, Leah, pokes fun at me for it but I can't help it. It speaks to me! Plus, this gift paper!! Aghhhh - SO good!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you love the projects as much as I do! I really had a blast working on these. If you'd like to purchase The Most Wonderful Time Product Medley, the link will take you to my online store. Below, I have also linked all of other items we used today.

Holiday Stampin' BINGO

Hi Crafty Friends!!

I hosted my Holiday Stampin' BINGO on Saturday and we had a BLAST! If you're ever in the SF Bay Area or you live close by - please join us! It is seriously SO fun!

I had 34 gals and 1 gentleman attend and they made 5 projects and played 5 rounds of BINGO for prizes and a final Blackout Round for a Stampin' Up! shopping spree! So fun!

I thought I'd pop in to share the fun projects they made:

This adorable treat box was made using the new Let it Snow Suite. I just love this suite of products and the adorable snowmen in it. I used the new Accent Puff Paint to add some dimension detail to the snow falling around this cute friend. Inside is plenty of space to add some fun treats for someone special!

These Cheers! cards are so lovely and sparkly in person. At first I saw this as a shaker card and then I pulled out my Sparkle Glimmer paper and it stole the show! I wanted options for folks so I offered two color ways: Purple Posy and Seaside Spray. Both are new In Colors this year, so using the new, matching Woven Thread Sequins was a given! I also let them choose from a couple of sentiment options to cover a variety of upcoming events.

This Mini Gold Pizza Box is a stunner! Personally, I never lean towards gold. You'll always see me using silver or copper. But this Plaid Designer Series Paper is amazing and SO me!! And with the gold accents in it, the pizza box just made sense! I used the Pine Tree punch to cut out three trees and fan them on the top to give it dimension. The new Holiday Rhinestones and Jingle Bells were the perfect final touch.

I guess my post is a little backwards because next up is the Halloween Treat holder folks made using three of the  Stitched Nested Labels. I just LOVE these dies and use them on almost everything. They're amazing. Halloween isn't my favorite holiday like it is for some, but every time Stampin' Up! comes out with an adorable suite I get so wrapped up in treat making!

The last project was a lovely fall card with the adorable pumpkin from the new Harvest Hellos bundle. This set is SO stinkin' cute!! I used various green gingham sheets from the 6x6 color family paper stacks and everyone got to choose their color. The browns and greens in this card make me want to sit on the porch and watch the leaves fall with a cup of joe in my hand.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed all of the projects from my recent Stampin' BINGO event. If you'd like to purchase any of these items, everything I used is linked below and if you're ever in the Concord, CA area and want to join us for an awesome day of fun, all of my events are posted here on my blog.

If you'd like the PDFs from this event, I am sending them out as a FREE gift to anyone who places an order $25 or more in my online store

Holiday Swap with Friends - Free Skate

Hi Crafty Friends!

I hope you're having a wonderful week!!

Today I'm sharing some projects I made for a Holiday Bundle swap I participated in with some of my fellow Luv 2 Stamp crafty friends!

We each made three projects to share with each other and I got to play with the new Free Skate Bundle

This bundle was so fun! As soon as I saw it in the new Holiday Catalog I saw roller skates. That probably dates me a bit, huh?! Some of my best childhood memories are of spending Friday nights at the local roller rink with my friends and sometimes my cousins.

I also thought this project would be a super fun birthday card for one of my dear friends. I was right because she absolutely loved it!

I used Bermuda Bay for my base and added a Black mat and a Whisper White mat. I stamped my skates on Melon Mambo and cut off the blades so I could add Bermuda Bay wheels that I made with a circle punch. I drew the centers with a black marker and then added Wink of Stella to give them that 90's shimmer!

I even added our new Puff Paint to the lace holes and bow to give it dimension. This card was so fun to make!

My second card is glimmer to the max. The detailed skate die is just gorgeous and the Sparkle Glimmer Paper was the perfect touch!

I used this year's new In-Color, Seaside Spray, for the card base and mat and also added the new Metallic Ribbon. This card is icy perfection!

My third project is a little more subtle. I love the ombre of Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana so I went with a watercolor wash for the background. I was really trying to pull off a #simplestamping project!  What do you think? Does this count?

My card base is Pretty Peacock with a Bermuda Bay mat and our new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

These colors just make my heart soar!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my projects! All of the items I used are listed below and link to my online store.

Inspire. Create Chllenge #48 - Wish For It All

Hi Crafty Friends!

I have a super fun card to share with you today! I am participating in the Inspire. Create Challenge #48 - Birthday Theme. This card was SO fun to make (and a little messy)!

Birthday cards are always something that I just do not have enough of at my house. I'm sure it's the same for you, right? When I saw this challenge I knew I wanted to play along.

I had the Wish For it All stamp set sitting on my desk to use for an upcoming retreat and decided I wanted to use the cake. I actually CASEd the layout of the card from our Annual Catalog & Idea Book - it's on page 65.

How cute is that?!

I knew wanted to emboss the cake in Stampin' Up!'s new Shimmery White Embossing Powder and use the new Pigment Sprinkles on top for an ink resist technique. It turned out so much better than I'd hoped! I absolutely love the bright, vibrant colors of the Pigment Sprinkles! They're amazing!

Ok - are you ready to see mine?

Isn't it so colorful?! I just love it!

I used a Mambo Melon card base cut to 4 1/2" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2". My mat is also Mambo Melon cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped with the adorable lace image in the stamp set. I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay to 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" and my Watercolor paper is cut to 3" x 4".

I stamped my cake image in Versamark ink and covered it with the embossing powder, then heat set it. After it cooled (very important step since the embossing powder has glitter in it) I lightly spritzed the paper with water and sprinkled on my Pigment Sprinkles. I then spritzed more water on it to really get the crystals saturated and moving around. I blotted some of the water up with a paper towel once I had the colors the way I liked them. I used my heat tool to help dry the paper but I did it from the back of the paper, as not to keep heating the embossing powder to where it would burn. I could have also let it dry on it's own but I was impatient and wanted to keep moving with my card.

I die cut the banner out of Daffodil Delight and stamped the greeting in Melon Mambo. I then added some sequins for some extra bling.

It's really hard to see the glittery cake in the picture but it's absolutely stunning in person!

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do! This is a really fun bundle to play with! Purchasing them together (stamps / dies) also qualifies for an additional 10% off! When purchased in July, you'll also get a $5 Bonus Day Coupon from Stampin' Up! to spend in August!

All of the items I used today will be linked below to my online store

Thanks for stopping by!!

GDP #196 - Sailing Home

I'm back for another post this week! Woohoo!! I love getting back in the groove!

I am participating in the Global Design Project #196 Challenge, again - CASE the Designer!

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Here is the original design by Connie Collins:

I chose to copy the layout because I just love the frame. I used another new bundle from the recently released Annual Catalog, Sailing Home, from the Come Sail Away Suite.

I love the vintage line art in this nautical set and paired it with the new High Seas 3D Embossing folder.

I used the Stitched Rectangles dies to die cut my frame and layered it over a embossed piece of Seaside Spray cardstock. My two sail boats are stamped in Night of Navy ink and I used my Blender Pen to move a little of the ink around for color. I stamped my anchor in Sahara Sand on Sahara Sand cardstock and added one of the Sail Away metal trinkets for extra flair.

I just love how this all came together. It'll make a wonderful masculine Valentine's Day or Anniversary card for someone special!

I hope you enjoy my submission! Thanks for stopping by!

It's also Sharing Saturday! Hop on over to my Facebook VIP Group and share a project to be entered into a drawing for a pack of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels!

All of the products I used are listed below and linked to my online store.

Luv2Stamp Team Meeting Projects

It's Thursday, again! I hope you're all having a lovely 4th of July Holiday! The little guy and I are hanging out today - well, this week, really. Dad is in Columbia on a guys vacation with a couple of the cousins. He loves to travel and I'm so grateful that we're able to do so as a family and as individuals!

Today's post comes to you with projects from last weekend. We had our Luv2Stamp Team Meeting, launching the new Annual Catalog. The Luv2Stamp Team is Patty Bennett's team and I am in her second level. We get together 3 times a year to highlight new catalog released products, spend time talking about our business and getting a little training in. It's such a great time getting together with everyone that we don't always see often and crafting!

Patty was gracious and trusting enough to let me co-host this one! I was so grateful for the opportunity! It was alot of elbow grease but the meeting was wonderful and everyone loved the projects!

We made 6 projects but these are the three that I designed and prepped - I hope you enjoy them, also!

I am just loving the new Noble Peacock Suite - the DSP and Foils are just amazing!! This card has NO stamping - can you believe it?! Once I had all of the pieces in place I just couldn't bring myself to add a sentiment to the front. I die cut the peacock out of Sparkle Glimmer paper and used sponges with Pretty Peacock, Blueberry Bushel and Old Olive inks to create a pretty ombre effect.

The next two cards use the new Pigment Sprinkles! Have you seen them, yet? They're similar to other watercolor pigment powders on the market but these are in our signature Stampin' Up! colors and are amazingly vibrant! I was floored! They're a little messy, but oh so fun!

This card uses the new Silhouette Scenes bundle, which has a stamp set and coordinating dies. I just love the tree die cut and knew I wanted to watercolor it! I used the Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green Pigment Sprinkles and just let the colors run together while spritzing water on them. It turned out a beautiful shade of Clover, I think, with some muddled Apple in there. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the image of the girl swinging. It makes stamping crisp, solid images a breeze because if the ink is blotchy anywhere, you can ink up your stamp again and stamp it right back down in the exact same spot - no halos or shadows!

My last card features the new To A Wild Rose bundle. This open image flower just begs to be colored with all of the mediums!! On this card I used the Pigment Sprinkles in Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Gorgeous Grape. The colors just jump off of the paper!

I just love every new catalog release and the new products we get to play with. Getting together as a team of crafty friends is always such a fun day!
